Terms and Conditions

All prices, terms and conditions of sale are subject to change without prior notice. Buyer agrees to all terms and conditions of seller upon placement of any and all purchase order.

FREIGHT

All orders are FOB WAREHOUSE from Richmond, B.C. (Unless otherwise specified).

PRICES

Prices exclude all taxes, freight and insurance. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Please verify prices and specifications with your sales representative accordingly. 

CREDIT APPROVAL

Acceptance of all orders is subject to approval by Star Light Locks Ltd. Trade references and banking information must accompany order credit for new accounts. An increase in credit may be denied if payments haven’t previously been made within terms.

PAST DUE ACCOUNT

Invoices not paid within our terms are subjected to a service change of 2% per month. A 24% per annum service charge will be added and compounded each month thereafter until said amount is collected.

RETURN OF MERCHANDISE

No merchandise may be returned to Star Light Locks Ltd. without a designated RMA number. All returns must be shipped prepaid within 30 days from the date of shipment by us, and are subject to a minimum 20% restocking charge. The merchandise must be in original packaging and sellable condition in order to qualify for credit. All non-stocking, special, custom-made, modified products and parts are not subject to cancellation or return. The returned goods must come with (1) a copy of the original invoice or packing slip, (2) a brief note describing the problem and defects and (3) all manuals, accessories and original packaging. Packaging must be clean and free of marks. All collect shipments will be refused. All goods returned for warranty that are found to be non-defective will be shipped back to the customer collect. A service fee of $30.00 per item will be applied. 

FREIGHT AND SHORTAGE CLAIMS

Damaged or lost merchandise claim must be filed immediately with the delivering carrier, or be reported to Star Light Locks Ltd. within 24 hours. Shortage claims must be made within 2 working days from the receipt of shipment and are subject to factory verification.

DELIVERY

Star Light Locks Ltd. makes all reasonable efforts to ensure delivery of goods on the date required but cannot guarantee due to contingencies of scheduling of trucking, manufacturing and other factors beyond control.

WARRANTY

Warranty does not cover abused or misused products or non-commercial products used in commercial applications. Upon return of a defective product, we shall either replace the product or refund the purchase price, at our discretion. A finish deterioration occurring as result of exposure to environmental factors is not considered a defect in finishing and is not covered by this warranty. Star Light Locks Ltd. is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Our warranty does not cover products that have been damaged by installation due to carelessness or lack of knowledge and or skill, etc.

In no event shall Star Light Locks Ltd. be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, even if informed of the possibility of such damages, whether as the result of breach of contract, warranty, tort (including negligence, strict liability) and any other theory.
